Our business is owned by the father and sons of the Dornier family: Randall Sr., Randall Jr., and Ryan. We believe strongly in family values and that each family should be able to have a place they can call their second home. A place where you can spend the day playing, socializing and relaxing in a safe, family environment
On Our Name
The first part of our name -- The Legacy -- comes from the history of our location. We are the previous site of the legendary Sherwood Forest Country Club which, since 1952, was the place to be and the site of the 1961 Baton Rouge Open. We hope to carry on their "legacy" for the years to come. The second part of our name comes from our past. Our family originates from the Baton Rouge and Convent areas of Louisiana, and the name of our family home was Bonne Espérance. In French, this means "good hope" or "good expectations." We believe this fits us because we are expecting great things to happen because Baton Rouge is such a great place to be
We want your experiences with us to be one of a kind. Our goal is to provide a unique experience with all the amenities that will bring you back. We want to show everyone the Southern Hospitality that a good host should and at the same time, have a fun experience whether it be social or in an activity
Our plans for the future include building a heated resort-style pool with lap lanes, lighted hydro courts (clay), enlarging our golf practice facility and having 4-8 indoor clay courts. All these things will be based on membership.
We also plan to do another site in Prairieville so we can give our membership access to 2 different locations for convenience and ease. We will also have 24-hour access to the gym portion of our facility so our members can workout at their leisure.
