Anthony Verrett was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, in 1980. From a young age, he was immersed in the rich culinary traditions of Louisiana, learning to cook traditional dishes alongside his mother and grandmothers in Baton Rouge and New Orleans. This early exposure to cooking sparked a deep passion in Anthony, along with a love for the joy and satisfaction that good food can bring. However, when the pandemic hit in 2020, the restaurant industry faced unprecedented challenges. Anthony made the difficult decision to switch careers to support his family during this tough period. The health struggles of his daughter, who faced serious medical issues over several years, and supporting his wife and 5 children further fueled his dedication to being present for his family.
